Day 1:
Saturday January 6, 2007, 2:00 pm to 6:00 pm

Emphasizing Posture:
Assured posture, powerful arms and isolated hip work are three key elements of a strong performance. In this class, we will begin and end with Yoga Asanas that open the chest, strengthen the upper back, create flexibility in the shoulders, and we will work on isolations and posture while practicing drills. Yoga mats required.
Beginning/Intermediate/Advanced Levels, 4 hours (with 15 min break)


Day 2:
Sunday January 7, 2006, 2:00 pm to 6:00 pm

Locks and Isolations:
The controlled isolations in many Belly Dance styles are achieved by repetition over a long period of time. This workshop will cover the mechanics used for the foundations of Belly Dance and will deepen your understanding of the basics. Yoga mat required. Rigorous. Intermediate/Advanced Levels, 4 hours (with 15 min break)
