What: Classes will cover techniques and concepts from Levels I and II of Suhaila Salimpour’s revolutionary belly dance format* and will include conditioning, technique breakdowns, and drills. Each class will end with a finger cymbal drill. Classes will rotate through a ten movement cycle, focusing on a new movement each week. Students may drop in at any point in the cycle. These classes are suitable for dancers of all levels of experience and all styles of belly dance.

When: Sunday mornings beginning January 28 through April 1. Classes will begin on time. Please arrive 5 minutes early to sign in.
• Level I 10-11:10 am Introduction to the Suhaila Salimpour Format. Students will learn basic movement and timing breakdowns, and simple finger cymbal patterns. All students new to this format begin in Level I.
• Level II 11:15-12:30 pm Continuing on in the Suhaila Salimpour Format. Students work on developing speed and stamina and learning more complex finger cymbal patterns. Students who come to Level I are welcome to stay for Level II for a killer workout!

What to bring: a towel, a water bottle, and finger cymbals. A light hip scarf is optional (no beads or coins) as is a yoga/exercise mat. Dress to sweat. No skirts or voluminous pantaloons, please.

Cost: $15 Drop--In, $70 5-Class Card, $130 10-Class Card (Class cards good for either level but within the given cycle only.)

Renée Drellishak is a Level II certified dancer in the Suhaila Salimpour format. She has been studying belly dance since 1994, and has been a student and member of the Suhaila Salimpour School of Dance since 2001. Renée is Co-director of inFusion Tribal Belly Dance.

*Note: This is not an authorized Suhaila Salimpour School of Dance class and does not count as continuing education towards the Suhaila Salimpour Format Certification
